A classic driving cap is a rounded cap with a small stiff brim in front, originating from Great Britain and Ireland. Known as a paddy cap in Ireland, a bunnet in Scotland, a Dai cap in Wales, a cheese-cutter in New Zealand, and a flat cap in the United States. The cap's cloth can be made of wool, tweed being most common, or cotton. Less frequently used materials include leather, linen, or corduroy.
