This is a versatile base plate that can be placed atop the switch machine's slide. Objects can then be attached to it if desired, enhancing its functionality. You have the option to print this base plate with or without a hole in the front. This hole can serve as an alternative to the peg used for the control wire leading to the turnout, providing a more discreet solution than the standard peg on the slide. If you choose to use the hole, simply remove the peg from the slide and fill the opening or download the revised file to print a new top slide with no high peg. For further reference, visit this Thingiverse link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4279017 If the small hole in the front of the base plate doesn't print correctly with your 3D printer, you can drill a hole of suitable size for your control wire (.070 inches from the end in the center) to achieve the desired result. When activated, the base plate and any objects attached to it are pushed back and forth, triggering the DPST slide switch underneath and simultaneously throwing the turnout via the connected control wire. The DPST switch also has the capability to reverse the polarity of the frog.
