I designed this spool holder specifically for the FlashForge Creator Pro dual extruder printer. After searching Thingiverse for a spool holder supporting SainSmart spools with documentation, I found none that guaranteed my first test print wouldn't be wasted on an incompatible part. So, I created this from scratch and made all manual measurements to ensure my initial print would not be a waste of time and filament. Print in PLA or ABS or other tougher materials for the best results. I printed mine with medium settings in Simplify3D and achieved great success. The tube is hollowed out, requiring support, which you can't remove after printing but must leave in place to ensure stability. By adding support during the print process, I minimized print time and filament usage while taking advantage of its sturdiness and durability features.
