FlashForge Side Spool Holder
thingiverse
A basic adjustable spool holder that attaches to the side hand hole on the 2015 FlashForge Creator Pro (may fit similar models like Makerbot etc). I utilized old skateboard bearings, which proved to be a great idea - this is mainly for specialty filament that you don't want or need to feed through the feeder tubes - especially flexible filament - it just feeds straight into the extruder assembly. Requires the following hardware: 4 x (skateboard bearings) 608 bearings 2 x 150mm m8 bolts or threaded rod 8 x m8 nuts Print the Left and Right parts, then press the bearings into each side, slide the bolts through and you're done! This spool holder can be adjusted for thinner rolls if required and simply lifts off when not in use. Print Settings: Printer: Flash Forge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 70% Notes: Fits at 45 Degrees on the bed PLA is fine, I used 6 shells, 6 top and bottom mainly for strength but could easily go lighter. Took about 1hr 20mins at 50mm/s
