To improve the performance of a FlashForge Creator Dual (Replicator 1 Dual) printer, I designed this bracket. It holds higher quality ceramic bearings (5mmx10mmx4mm) in place within the case for Y-axis motion transfer rods. The flangeless bearings ensure proper alignment of pulleys with gantry mounting locations. Printed using PLA and 40% infill, this bracket requires M3 screws, washers, and a nylon lock screw or small wood screws for installation. Drilling technique is crucial to avoid damaging the plywood case; use a small drill bit first followed by a larger one at high speed, or add a wooden support inside the hole to prevent splintering. The design was modeled in Pro/E by Patrick C.
