I designed custom spool spacers to enhance stability and utilized the existing spool holders from my printer. I aimed for more workspace on my desk by streamlining the setup. This revised feed system now directs filament directly into the printer from above, providing a seamless flow. To further optimize the process, I drilled holes in the lexan cover to create a straight path for the filament. By maintaining a slight tension on the spool and ensuring a consistent feed, I've eliminated issues with filament jumping off the spool and causing frustrating jams. These jams can be extremely inconvenient, causing wasted time and material. I uploaded new files to allow for the use of either left or right spools.
