Flashforge Finder Spool Holder

The Finder 3D Printer Spool Holder The Finder is a budget-friendly 3D printer designed specifically for K-12 classrooms. However, it has a major limitation when it comes to mounting common spools. To address this issue, I created an improved spool holder that builds upon an existing design from Thingiverse (thing:1763329). While the original design works well, it didn't quite meet my expectations, so I decided to start from scratch and create something new. I took inspiration from the basic shape of the original design and made several key modifications. First, I extended the end stopper to provide a more secure hold on the spool. Next, I added a connector that accommodates the 6-mm filament guide, which ensures smooth filament flow. Additionally, I incorporated a few tweaks to minimize waste and strengthen the holder. The smallest spool inner diameter that can fit in this holder is 45 mm. To print this spool holder, you'll need to use PLA filament as the material of choice. However, for added strength and flexibility, PETG or ABS is recommended. A 20% infill rate is sufficient, and a resolution of 0.2mm should be fine. Important Note: The designer of this spool holder is not affiliated with Flashforge in any way, and this design has not been approved or supported by the company. It's being released solely for educational purposes to support users who need help mounting their spools on the Finder 3D printer. Reference: 1. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1763329
