++ UPDATE ++ I've also added long bracket sizes for the side panels, as they don't move, and just added a long top and bottom to keep them in place. As a total newcomer to 3D printing, I read up on loads of info and found that keeping the temperature constant around the print area was a common thread to avoid warping and lifting. Plus, with no knowledge or justification for buying a printer, my new machine came with a nice door! To test if enclosing my finders with thin perspex made a difference in the print, I raided some old 12" frames and decided to try it out. And yes, it does make a huge difference! So, I ordered some sheets of 330mm x 300mm x 3mm perspex from http://www.perspexsheet.uk/perspex-clear/ - the UK website. It cost me around £20 with shipping. Rather than using velcro sticky dots, I decided to make some little bracket-type things for the glass to slide to the side while staying put so it doesn't get scratched. As I have two finders side by side, one slides to the left and the other to the right as I have clearance. Not a groundbreaking design, I know, but it does work and looks kinda nice. I went for a nice blue to match the Flashforge text on the build plate - lol! I left the protective blue sheet on to better photograph the sheet in place.
