This Dummy Block Replaces the RIGHT extruder! Benefits of replacing the right extruder: You can print larger on the x-axis (30mm bigger) with an extended glass bed plate. The thumb lever for loading filament is easy to get to because it's facing you on the left extruder, while the right one is buried against the x-stop. Original Right Extruder Motor, Heatsink and Spacers weigh 290grams. My Dummy Block, with cooling duct, weighs just 27grams! My design wraps around the left extruder motor, keeping it cooler (65C cooler) than a standard setup. The right extruder fan comes on default at 50C, so it's running all the time during a print. Easy change-out with no extra parts and uses the factory screws. Over 2800 hours of printing and still works perfect. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 50 Notes: Print with the back facing down on raft - full support. ABS Extruder: 230-235C Bed: 110 C Speed 40-60 MM/S Ensure that you have a clean level bed; this part is strong but thin! I've had a few issues with warping during the first trial prints, but solved them by putting the fan housing close to the extruder block. Post-Printing: After print chase fan housing holes (2) with 1/8 drill bit so cap screws don't bite in. 2 You have to cut the divider out if you leave the heating block/tip holder in (I leave mine in and just remove the tip). 3 A small file is needed to make two small notches in the top for the right extruder power clip to snap in. How I Designed This: I designed this dummy block because all the designs out there are for replacing the left extruder.
