FlashForge Dreamer Rear 80mm Fan Grille
thingiverse
In the last year, two rear fan blades suffered damage (as illustrated by the damaged fan shown in the assembly photo), once when I carelessly touched it while adjusting the filament guide, and most recently when the head lead was pushed into it while printing something large. Feeling a bit frustrated with these mishaps, I decided to design a grille that could sit over each fan on the inside of the cabinet. I chose to print it in ABS to ensure it would withstand the heat without warping. To secure the lower inner fixing bolt properly, it should be reversed so that the nut is attached from the rear of the printer housing. After reevaluating the original grille I posted, which was 5mm thick, I realized that it required a countersunk lower inner fixing hole to move the fixing bolt away from the vertical back plate of the heated bed. If this wasn't done, the bed wouldn't be able to raise high enough. Taking this into consideration, I revised the grille and added a new STL file for a slimmer, 4mm version.
