FlashForge Dreamer Large Spool Holder

THIS IS MY NEW STAND FOR YOU TO USE NOW! The original FlashForge Dreamer spool holder was not fitting my needs, so I designed a new and improved one - the OmniStand. It can hold more filament sizes on both sides of your printer. You can find it at this address: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:652415 \nMy modified spool holder is made up of a replacement stand, a detachable spool rod, and a spool rod cover that makes the diameter larger for better functionality. These components replace the old stock black stand and rod that came with your older FlashForge Dreamer versions.\n THIS NEW SPOOL HOLDER WILL ONLY WORK FOR OLDER VERSIONS OF THE DREAMER (check out the photo 2). If you have the latest model, I am sorry to say this spool holder is not compatible without making some adjustments. The new printers have two cooling fans on the back and a clear door now - and unfortunately my design won't fit that setup straight off the bat. I'm looking for help from anyone who knows the exact measurements of those 2 posts so that I can update my design to work with both old and new models.\nIt's worth noting the rod is a bit longer, measuring in at 8.5 mm extra than the original black one, and the stand itself is a good deal taller, measuring 41.25 mm higher. \nThe new spool holder works in a bit different of a way. When you are attaching it, make sure to remove the Dreamer's bottom part first before unscrewing the original stand from there, otherwise you might risk losing some small parts that could be tough to get back.\nBefore moving on with installation though, attach your spool rod screws to the new stand and screw in place. Then put everything back together by attaching it all onto the printer again. But make sure not to mix up top or bottom here - do only what we are specifying right now for now (the ONLY SIDE we suggest is using left side only - see image for further guidance)\nWhat I really love about this spool stand and rod system though is that you can get way bigger filament spools than ever before, measuring a massive 200 mm diameter by 56 mm width! The original stock stand wouldn't be able to fit something so big easily but now there's room to hold whatever kind of material suits your printing style.\n Some filaments tested work without modification - check below:\nMG Chemicals -0.25 kg, Filamex-0.5kg\nAlso included Ninjaflex 0.5 kg roll sizes can fit in this design so long as they come up with the bigger stand,\nas well ASP Tech's heavy duty print rolls and zenToolwork ones did great under its capabilities too! Please be aware however there were issues encountered with filaments of higher diameter measurements needing certain attachments otherwise operation was possible - specifically noted instances here being the new rod needed due to increased weight which prevents any interference upon attachment, yet certain brands won’t properly attach themselves unto normal standard holder unless modifications happen; example include MG Chemicals' roll that weighs less than a .25 but has bigger diameters also require some support like cover we will be making. We do recommend taking good precautions by being mindful towards avoiding these known conflicts down line due simply fact their operational nature may require us modifying setup more aggressively when desired fit goes past recommended specifications clearly given below. Lastly just remember, because I'm testing another feature at present right now and the Y-axis might need extra adjustment so try best way first on test model to check if changes will properly print onto spools side then you go forward after. \nIt looks good now as before but just take heed since currently being worked upon now. This new setup was originally developed for older FlashForge printers due specifically to compatibility with certain features that weren't possible until newer upgrades got released.\nThe rod itself measures longer by 8.5 mm from the standard version so that spools fit better in holder when mounted on any part left-hand side installation recommended - refer above diagram Print these separately in specific order because some might require orientation differently. Stand must go upside down as it’s printed whereas others stay erect. Hope everyone who made my designs work for them feels like thanking others too because together let's create best parts out there
