External Spool Mount for Flashforge Dreamer Printer. Instructions This design utilizes one (1) 5-6" long, 1/2"-13 bolt and one (1) 1/2"-13 nut inside the handle to secure the spool. Drill a 1/2" hole in the back plastic to allow the bolt to pass through the case. A flat-bottom wood drill bit works well for this purpose. The case mount employs three (3) #6-32, 2" long countersunk bolts and three standard hex nuts. An aluminum stiffener washer is used in the photos, but my final design has a larger outer diameter and does not require the washer. Match-drill the (3) #6 case mount holes by marking the hole pattern from your printed parts. The handle features three (3) #6, 1" long countersunk screws. A Parker #111 O-ring is used as the retention mechanism for the feed through. Obtain McMaster part number P/N: 9452K23 to access this o-ring. This design enables you to thread the existing teflon tubing through the part for a smooth transition into the printer. A flat-head screwdriver will aid in placing the o-rings onto the part.
