This carriage cover plate makes it possible to connect 1/4" PTFE tubing so that you can direct your filament into your extruders on the FlashForge Dreamer. I set up a drybox to keep my filament from absorbing moisture and then I needed to pipe the filament to the printer. This Cover Plate was the result. This plate clicks into place on your carriage. There are several additional features: Reinforced screw columns for mounting are included, and if you look underneath the plate, you will notice that I have widened the base of the plastic columns which hold the screws. A reinforced "front hook" is also present, which keeps the front of the plate securely hooked into the plastic housing where it snaps in. Tubes that accept 1/4" PTFE tubing are integrated so you can run a straight line from your dry box and decrease drag on your carriage. Simply press-fit the PTFE tubing into the Cover, and it will stay securely in place long term. Printer Settings Printer: FlashForge Dreamer Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .4 mm nozzle, .2 mm layer height Infill: 100% Notes: You will want to print this upside down. The detail that allows this part to snap-fit into your existing carriage is crucial. Without excellent detail, it won't fit properly. I used Simplify3d with a 4mm support resolution. Abs temp 230. Speed 60mm/sec. Notice that my drybox is located above my printer. If your drybox is lower than your printer, you may experience issues with the tubes staying in place. It's also essential to account for expansion and contraction. The printed X dimension of your final part needs to match the X dimension of 73.05 mm, (or 73 even).
