The cutout for the SD card in the wooden case of the Flashforge Creator is oversized compared to the SD card reader inside the unit. This often results in missing the reader altogether, causing the card to drop into the case instead. This custom-fit piece provides better alignment of the card with the reader, ensuring it slides smoothly into place every time. Given the unknown variability in Flashforge models, however, its placement may not be universal. The thin flanges designed for catching onto plywood were ineffective at securing the part due to their minuscule size. However, it fills the slot snugly and fits without shifting back out due to its considerable width.
