Edit: Sep-19-2016: changed design to metric. This is an ultra-durable hanger for the Flashforge Creator Pro and similar printers. This design boasts several advantages. Bearings-based, virtually frictionless. Easy to mount and remove the spool without screws required. Easy to install and remove holder from the printer (e.g. in tight spaces). Fits all common spool form factors and spool holes, including Hatchbox spools with 1" holes. Printing: Print in the orientation specified by the provided STL file for maximum strength. I printed with ABS, using four bottom/side/top layers, 0.2mm layers with a 0.4mm nozzle, 20% infill, and support material from the printing bed to the large round bump. Materials: M6*90 screw (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0143ACXD4), four X 626 bearings (I prefer plastic/glass types; search eBay for '626 Plastic Nylon POM Ball Bearings'), and an M6 hex nut. Assembly: Remove spacers and other holes (use a debarring tool like Shaviv or a large drill bit), insert the bolt into the base, insert spacers and bearings, insert the end piece and nut, and tighten everything. Verifying your assembly: * Ensure all bearings turn freely. Spacers are designed with chamfers at their ends to prevent contact with bearing centers. * Verify the end piece is securely tightened and pointing upwards. If it doesn't point up, release, rotate the bolt in the base a third of a turn, and tighten again.
