Flashforge Creator Pro Super Duper Spool Hanger

This super duper hanger design is optimized for the Flashforge Creator Pro and similar 3D printers. The bearings-based design provides virtually zero friction. Mounting and removing the spool are easy tasks that don't require screwing. Installing and removing the holder from the printer, even in tight spaces, is a breeze. This design fits all common spool form factors and spool holes, including Hatchbox spools with 1" holes. To print this design, follow the orientation provided in the STL file. This orientation will provide maximum strength for your printed part. I successfully printed mine using ABS, with 4 bottom/side/top layers, 0.2mm layer thickness, and a 0.4mm nozzle diameter. The infill was set to 20%, and support material was generated from the printing bed to a large round bump. Materials needed for this project include an M6*90 screw (available on Amazon), 4 X 626 bearings (I prefer plastic/glass type, search eBay for '626 Plastic Nylon POM Ball Bearings'), and an M6 hex nut. Assembly of this hanger is straightforward. Remove the spacers and other holes using a debarring tool or a large drill bit. Insert the bolt into the base, followed by the spacers and bearings. Then, insert the end piece and tighten everything in place. To verify your assembly: * Ensure all bearings turn freely. The spacers are designed with chamfers to prevent them from touching the center part of the bearings. * Make sure the end piece is securely tightened and pointing upwards. If it doesn't point up, release it, rotate the bolt in the base a third of a turn, and tighten again.
