Flashforge Creator Pro side plugs in dual colors

I modified the original model to split it into two parts so I could utilize the dual-extrusion wizard in Simplify3D. My first two attempts failed because auto-grouping was enabled, resulting in the slicer attempting to lift the top off the base and create supports between them. The second attempt failed due to the slicer generating double supports for the second model, causing plastic to accumulate as it tried to build supports for the letters running up through the base supports and base. To resolve this issue, I turned off align and group in Simplify3D and created my own supports using Tinkercad. I made them 0.4mm wide and 0.1mm high below the item being supported. Here's the process I followed in Simplify3D: Import the two models and manually align them on the x and y axis. Start the dual-extrusion wizard by selecting your material, which in this case was ABS. Choose the parts to align with the extruder/color you want to use and uncheck "align and group." Hit OK and then edit process settings. Change the following settings: Turn on raft No supports Turn off ooze guard Note that the following settings were defaults, which I kept: ABS (using 230C/110C heat settings for extruder/bed) Medium speed 20% infill Finally, hit print and you're ready to go!
