Flashforge Creator Pro SD Card Grip
cults3d
This is a versatile SD card grip similar to a few others available on Thingiverse. Its standout features are: Customizable: You can fine-tune it to meet your specific needs. The default dimensions boast a short SD slot that enables seamless use with an SD socket featuring a 'push to release' mechanism, like the one found in Flashforge Creator Pro. A built-in support wall is integrated into the model, allowing for effortless printing and yielding cleaner results compared to automatic support generated by slicers. The wall is just one extrusion wide and can be easily removed with a X-acto knife (this support wall can be disabled in the customizer). I printed this grip in the default laying down orientation using ABS material, an 0.4mm extruder, 0.2mm layer, and no material support. After cleaning out the support wall and ensuring the SD card fits snugly in the channel, I secured it there with super glue. A helpful tip: to clean the edge of this print and other ABS prints effectively, consider using a debarring tool like this one (http://amzn.com/B00CRWK7IY). This grip pairs well with Flashforge Creator Pro, which boasts the push-to-release mechanism. However, since I can easily pull the SD card out with the grip, I simply push it in and pull it out without using the release mechanism.
