Firstly acknowledgement goes out to rowokii for creating the Spool Holder & Clip on Thingiverse, accessible at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767317. My goal was to gain visibility into my spools' activity, which is impossible with the standard setup. I also wanted to push my printer further back onto my desk. This new setup makes it 100% easier to swap out spools, thanks to rowokii's universal spool holders and fast-fit clip. I used 15mm aluminum tube from In-Excess for this project. However, you can use whatever materials you have lying around in your workshop or junk pile. A couple of my prints broke or failed during the process, but I simply glued them back together. After all, this is just a prototype! Some parts have square profiles while others are rounded, reflecting my limited experience with CAD software as I continue to experiment and learn. I hope you enjoy using this thing!
