Flashforge Creator Pro (FFCP) -> Diamond Hotend Upgrade

These are all the parts I used to modify my FlashForge Creator Pro (2016) to utilize the Diamond Hotend Extruder. This is a MASSIVE modification that took me a few weeks to complete. I've included all the SolidWorks files so you can modify the parts if you want. This is a complex mod, and when you're done, you'll have a totally new printer that only looks like an FFCP. You'll need to be comfortable with soldering, flashing firmware, and figuring things out on the fly in order to complete this project. Expect to spend several days printing everything, and make sure you have everything figured out before you start the teardown process. All of the printed parts in this project are printable with a FlashForge Creator Pro 2016 - but some just barely fit. You'll probably have to play with the orientations to get them just right. That being said, it's TOTALLY WORTH IT! The improvement is huge in terms of performance, control, and configuration. Modifications include: 1) Incorporating an air scrubber to filter out ABS fumes 2) Replacing the stock MightBoard with a RUMBA (required to drive three extruders and mix colors, also HUGE improvement over stock performance) 3) Incorporating three E3D Bowden Extruders 4) Replacing the stock LCD/SD card assembly with the "Full Graphic Smart LCD Controller" 5) New housing for the replacement LCD 6) Mounting adapter to screw the RUMBA board in place of the MightyBoard You'll also need to buy a few other things: 1) Plastic screws (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDXW0A6) 2) High static-pressure fan (https://www.amazon.com/Swellder-TFB0412EHN-cooling-40mmx28mm-control/dp/B00XDXR1XA) 3) Filters (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00COTZTJW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02) 4) Also get some weatherstripping from the hardware store, and use it to seal the extruder mount/scrubber assembly to your clear plastic hood. The stuff I got was grey, and you can see it squirting out of the scrubber mount in a few of the pictures I posted. 5) A stepper motor for the third extruder 6) 3x E3D Titan Extruders 7) Diamond Hotend (http://www.reprap.me/diamond-hotend.html) You'll also need to print these parts: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:899168 Make sure to print them in ABS, otherwise they will creep (melt and get saggy). You should probably edit the RUMBA adapter plate part and shift it so that the USB port of the RUMBA board lines up with the USB hole in the frame. I was lazy and opted to just make an extension (see photo). Also note that this will probably work on any of the replicator derivatives with some modification. I'll leave that up to you, though. More details to come soon!
