Mold is made to create silicone boots for the Flashforge Creator Pro 2016 printer. To get the mold right, a regular two-part silicone mix was used. However, high-temp silicone mix has been ordered to make the final boots: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262190021883?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The boots are designed to keep nozzle heads clean. Print settings are as follows: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro 2016 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 30% Notes: ABS should be printed first, then acetone vapour the parts. The silicone will not stick to shiny surfaces. After printing, a silicone mix is poured into the base half and slowly the top part is pushed down. Excess mixture comes out around the edges and through vent holes. A stainless steel wire was used to push the two parts together tightly. Alternatively, rubber bands or cable ties can be used in the recesses of each part. To ensure that the base and top are facing the correct direction, it's essential that the grooves on both parts are on the same side when pushing them together.
