You're advised to utilize the left extruder for printing with PLA, while employing the right extruder for printing with ABS. This directive comes directly from the FlashForge Creator Pro 2016 manual, and it's the sole drawback that I've encountered with this printer. Following extensive testing, I've confirmed that this printer has the capability to use the right extruder for printing in PLA, producing exceptional dual-strusion prints. A crucial requirement is an upgraded fan duct. As evident from the attached photos, this improved fan duct yields a noticeable enhancement in print quality and accuracy. Replacing the stock fan duct with this model can be done effortlessly without necessitating relocation of the fan or any drastic modifications to your machine. Instructions: Download and print the STL file using ABS with the recommended print settings. Ensure that your printer has cooled down before attempting installation of this piece. Remove the three bolts securing the fan to the extruders. Separate the fan from the included duct. Move the fan away from the extruders, checking if the new duct fits without force. If necessary, carefully sand it slightly. Once confident that both parts fit snugly, align the fan in its place (but do not reinstall bolts yet). Install the new fan duct from below to avoid collision with bands. Reinstall the three bolts to secure the fan to the extruders. Notes: Although printing this piece without supports is feasible, I strongly recommend utilizing them. If you have Simplify3D, use the Customize Support Structures menu to place supports as depicted in the included screenshots.
