Flashforge Creator Dual - Single Fan Guard with Filament Tube Guide

thingiverse

This design combines elements from two Thingiverse models: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:107294 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26040. The creator removed the left extruder from their carriage, as they didn't use dual strusion prints. They used a stock extruder head bracket spacer but found it rattled, so they made an alternative design. You can view this on TinkerCAD for editing purposes: https://tinkercad.com/things/i1b5SnYf0yV-flashforge-creator-dual-single-fan-guard-with-filament-tube. They use a 3/4" braided cable sleeve for wire management, but zip ties can also be used with slack near the carriage. On 1/26/14, they modified the clamp dimensions to improve fan grip and reduce stepper motor surface area. For printing, suggest .2mm layers with 15% infill and supports (no raft), although a raft can be used if preferred. Supports are necessary due to potential collision between the filament tube guide and X-axis rod. Remove supports from under/inside the filament tube guide, clamps, and wiring gap. To install, remove the stock head and right filament, snip the right filament tube guide, and any spacers. Clamp the print around the fan, feed filament and guide into the holder on top, and zip tie wires.
