FlashForge Creator Cable Management and fliament guide
thingiverse
The creator has devised a means of securing filament tubes and cable management directly onto the print head, thereby eliminating the need for cumbersome clamps and cheap cable covers that often compromise their performance. The rear bracket cleverly positions the tubes closer to the center of the filament spools, ensuring a more stable and secure connection. Furthermore, by inserting the tubes 4cm into the back holder and 1.5cm at the print head, the risk of filament dislodgement and breakage is significantly reduced. To achieve optimal results, twenty-one cable cups or chain links were utilized, and it is highly recommended that a length of spring wire be inserted to enhance the stability of the chain. When printing the chain, it is essential to orient the open end downwards, as this will yield better outcomes without requiring any support structures. In contrast, the back bracket can be printed with supports. The creator opted for PLA material for all components except the print head bracket, which was fabricated using ABS to improve heat resistance and printed in an upright orientation.
