thingiverse
Sometimes simple problems demand overengineered solutions. This will hold a PTFE part in the side panel of your Flashforge Creator 3 so you can print from an external spool and still keep the side panels closed standard version: You need: 4 heat inserts M3 4 screws m3 (I used 2x M3x10mm cylinder head and 2x m3 grub screws because I'm fancy, but anything in a 10mm ballpark works) a piece of PTFE tube. -print (settings don't matter, support not necessary, you own a C3 you can do this^^) -position inside panel as seen in picture -drill holes: 3mm sides, 4.5mm center -insert heat inserts -insert PTFE -gently pinch PTFE in the printed part, don't overdo it -screw into panel -done NEW: 1/8" thread (named .125) needs 2 m3 screws, 2 heat inserts and a 10mm bore in the middle. M6 thread is the same with a 6mm bore.
