FlashForge - Bed-leveling Wingnut holder
thingiverse
This holds the wing-nut used for bed-leveling on the FlashForge Creator Pro. The part is self-threading and provides additional stress support for the bolt threads. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 20% Notes: Use less infill for more elasticity. I used a 0.4 layer height, but anything really doesn't matter. How I Designed This Build-plate leveling I basically wore out my threads on the leveling plate used to adjust the level. Generally speaking, the solution is to get a washer, but at the time, I didn't have any and didn't want to run to the store. I quickly print a basic washer and use three of them. Something I notice was, although unintentional, the washers self-threaded and basically work just like a nut, until it hits the bad spot, which is okay because the wing-nut now has some better threads. Thinking about it for a while, it occurs to me that this could be designed proper. The holder of the wingnut provides additional traction and support; it's softer than the metal threads and may help increase their lifespan. I would definitely put this on all printers, whether they need it or not, because it will help to save the threads.
