FlashForge Adventurer 3 Y-axis mounts/brackets
thingiverse
The Y-axis of the A3 features an 8mm rod with a sturdy carriage gliding on it using brass bushings. The carriage's considerable length makes it unlikely to be the source of the rattling sound. Although the Y-rod itself is not properly secured, it can still fit snugly into injection-molded plastic brackets at each end. This type of push-fit is commonly found in printers like the Prusa X-axis and Z-axis models. However, the plastic brackets on this printer are a poor fit, measuring 8.1 - 8.15mm across the clamping hole and 8.25 - 8.3mm vertically. As a result, the rod can twist about 0.1mm horizontally and lift up to 0.3mm in height, likely causing the slight wobble observed in prints on the Y-axis. These revised brackets are designed to securely clamp the Y-axis rod, printed in PETG without supports. Replacing these parts is relatively easy, but accessing the y-axis can be extremely challenging. It requires disassembling the entire printer shell from the top, which may void your warranty.
