This is an awesome fix for those of us who have a printer and the Y axis rod has got play in it due to the issue that some printers have with the holder clearances. To replace those holders is a pig of a job, it involves stripping down the entire printer and possibly damaging it. And the warranty may be gone. And it's a day of your life that could have been better spent. So, I discovered that one could make this clip to hold the rod, and voila it fixes the printer. I made my clip in ABS, so it does not get soft when doing hot printing, 100% infill so it's solid and strong. It clipped in securely and is short enough that the bed gets close but does not collide with it. There is not enough room at the back for a second one, however one appears to be sufficient. I am going to run the printer now and see how this fix performs. Please use this and let me know how you get on with it? It looks like it solves the problem and avoids the issue of stripping the printer. And it's easy enough to replace if a failure occurs. This will get revised as I see how living with this fix works, or not. In which case I fix it and let you all know how that was done.
