Flashforge Adventurer 3 Modified 40mm Fan adaptor
thingiverse
Was inspired by Moritzrath's 40mm fan mod. Used the original adaptor for a bit. Had issues after awhile with the fan coming loose and the very thin 30mm tube delaminating when made with ABS. Designed a more robust adaptor that is screwed to the hot end. The new adaptor does require permanent modification to your hot end. I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel to cut a square around the original fan. The section to cut out is molded into the inside of the hot end. A relief cut is required to allow the wiring to pass into the hot end. A small 1/16" hole needs to be drilled in the black fan bracket to secure the adaptor to the hot end. That hole needs to line up with the blind hole on the adaptor. I used a random screw I found with 2.75mm Major diameter x 5mm long. If printing in ABS slowly work the small screw into the adaptor to prevent splitting the part.
