Flashflood Clip for Ender 3 Rail
thingiverse
I have updated the design to include a hole that passes through the center of the clip, allowing wiring to be neatly run through the aluminum channel named FlashfloodClipforEnder3v2.stl. This feature serves no real purpose other than to keep wiring organized and tidy. Holes can be useful when positioned correctly. This design combines two ideas: illuminating a printer and creating a functional clip for a flashlight. The printer, situated in a dimly lit corner of the room, could benefit from additional lighting. I created a clip to hold a flashlight from Harbor Freight, which worked well but had one major flaw - people often forgot to turn it off, resulting in drained batteries. Meanwhile, I discovered "The FlashFlood" by Mr_MegaTronic, an impressive and stunning creation that caught my attention. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking it out now. The tinkerer within me saw an opportunity to combine the ideas of the two designs. As a result, this design is a Flashflood clip designed to replace the base of the original FlashFlood and enable users to attach it to the top of their Ender 3. This design surpasses my initial flashlight clip in several ways but does require more effort to assemble. Despite this, it is a significant improvement over the previous solution. Important notes: 1. The clip is specifically designed for the top rail of the Creality Ender 3, measuring 20mm x 20mm. It should also fit any other device with similar dimensions. 2. The required hardware is identical to that used in the base of the FlashFlood design. I utilized an M3-.50x20 machine screw and an M3-.50 nut.
