Flash tilt insert for B.I.G. Helios kombi schirmhalter
thingiverse
The purchased flash umbrella head has a construction error, as its stake hole is parallel to the reflector's direction. This causes uneven lighting on the umbrella when the reflector is located at the highest point of the flash unit. The solution involves tilting the flash unit so that the reflector shines towards the umbrella center. A semiparametric SDAD file has been created for a tilt insert, with an 8-degree angle for Nikon SB800 flashes (STL file adjustable). To install, print the part, unscrew two top screws, remove the bar with the additional light screw, insert the part, and secure the screws. The tilt angle may need adjustment based on flash unit positioning.
