The flash hider incorporates a safety feature to prevent insertion of two mortar shells within its tube. When fired, gas expulsion forces the bar outwards; if the bar remains in place, it signifies a shell is inside the tube posing a risk. Post-shot, ensure the bar returns to its original position for safety purposes.
