Flash Forge Creator X Naked conversion
thingiverse
This is a conversion for older FlashForge Creator X printers with the world's most frustrating SD card placement. It's hidden behind the front panel on one side, making it extremely inconvenient to access and remove. This conversion eliminates the entire front panel, providing effortless access to your print from the front. It eliminates the problem of trying to access the SD card and allows you to easily locate dropped parts and hardware. Cleaning out scraps from the bottom is significantly easier after this mod as well. I have removed all outer panels on our PLA printers to facilitate cleaning, cooling, and part accessibility. There are three screen cover designs: one robot-inspired, one plain, and one plain with no button recess. Iges versions of all files are uploaded for your convenience. One screen cover features a port for a front-mounted power switch. If properly wired, you won't have to reach around the back to turn the printer on or off. The recess accommodates the following switch: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XBG1SJW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: The parts are designed to print face down with support. Built-in support is provided at the button hole and screw hole to ensure support right at the edge. These can be broken out later. If you're using support in Makerbot Desktop, we recommend a "Support Model Spacing" setting of 1mm for clean breakaway.
