Flash Cold Shoe Foot for Speedlite and Yongnuo Flashes
thingiverse
A buddy of mine approached me recently with a conundrum. He's a seasoned photographer who frequently employs multiple remote flashes to illuminate various aspects of an architectural setting. His Yongnuo and Speedlite flashes each feature a base that clicks onto the flash, allowing it to stand independently. However, this base is only substantial enough to support the flash itself. Once light modifiers are attached to the flash, it often becomes too unstable to remain upright. This enlarged foot (approximately double the size of the original) enables the flash to maintain its balance at any angle, even with light modifiers in place. He refers to it as "BigFoot," a fitting moniker considering its purpose. Take a look at the accompanying images for a visual comparison between this larger foot and the standard Yongnuo base.
