Here's a remix of a remix. The original post is a 150g antweight called Blockhead by earthwormjim - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2812197. I remixed it to a 1 pound US ant and was super happy with it as a design. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3111090 This is the V2 of my design, improving on what I saw in its first five fights of the V1 at mass destruction at maker fair NYC. - My original 180mah battery conked out after about ninety seconds of full thrust (because math is hard). Increasing to 450 mah. - The v1 flat beater bar accomplished only a few good hits. This one has a larger bar and now an angled attack. - I added a ramp under the bar to get some lift on the opponent to set up a better hit. - N20 motors can and do easily fail. This design allows N20 to be swapped out much more easily by dropping out of the bottom surface. - The on/off switch is changed to be accessed on top side. BOM of Electronics I crammed in there: Esc = DasMikro Duel (http://tinyurl.com/ybvkxqxj) RX= Hobby King 6 channel to work with the entry level Hobby King HK-T6A Transmitter (3 channel works too if you are not attempting the servo option ) Drive Motors= N20's 50:1 (though I think 30:1 would be quicker) Weapon Motor= DYS BE1806 2300KV brushless (http://tinyurl.com/y8rayba8) Weapon ESC = RaceStar 10a (http://tinyurl.com/yd35e9la) Battery = Nano-tech 3s 450mah Flipper Servo = TGY-225mg Wheels = Lego 35mm + the 3d printed lego hub attached Door hinge pin and servo link arm are bent coat hangers. All body screws and hardware are 3mm Master switch = I use these DPDT from amazon, (http://tinyurl.com/y6v7nf3m) On the armor plates and weapon mount arms I am using uhmw polyethylene sheets from McMaster. 0.25 for armor and arms, 0.5 for paddle. This version is being entered into the Endbots design contest as a 1lp plastic ant... http://forum.endbots.com/thread/41/endbots-design-contest-october-2018
