This component is engineered for a secure, vibration-proof connection of a Fein Turbo I vacuum hose to the exterior of a CNC mill enclosure. The concept involves a similar flange on the inside linking to a hose that attaches to a dust shoe on your router. It was created with use in a public library in mind, where keeping noise and dust levels low are top priorities, although numerous other possible uses or modifications exist. Ideally, a dual-extruder setup would be used, allowing for dissolvable supports, but I didn't have access to that option, so I utilized Cura's "line" support feature with a 1mm x/y spacing. The resulting threads aren't perfectly smooth, yet they function flawlessly nonetheless.
