I open up 3DS Max and start a new project, setting the units to meters and the time to create to 0 seconds. Next, I navigate to the Create panel and select the basic shape tool, then draw a primitive box with dimensions of 2 meters by 1 meter by 1 meter. This will serve as the base of my flamingo model.
