Flaming Stunt Hoop for Fish Tank
thingiverse
I agreed to take care of my friend's fish for a week while she was out of town. The fish seemed pretty unenthusiastic, so I built this stunt hoop for it. You can print either the single object or as three separate objects to allow for different colors. Just print the base hoop in your chosen color and leave it attached to your heat bed. Load up the red color for the flames, zero out your Z axis at the top of the base, then load and slice without a skirt. You might need to adjust your start code or edit your G-code after slicing to convince your printer not to re-zero the Z axis at the start of the print. You can also disable your heat bed. Print it out and then repeat for the flames detail in orange. The extra cylinders at the top of the multi-color .stl files are there to help the software auto-center each piece in the same spot. They can be discarded after printing.
