The new design makes the most of every opportunity to keep things straightforward, and that's definitely something I appreciate - human error is virtually non-existent now that all those extra buttons have been streamlined into the primary controls panel on top. A few subtle animations were added in for fun too, giving users a sense that everything has become super accessible from this central point. The fact that the new layout isn't over-reliant on pop-ups helps too – after all, everyone prefers having only necessary info available directly on-screen whenever possible; it feels neater somehow and really encourages better use overall because of fewer visual distractions pulling you off course initially before completion time!
