Flag Brick stencils

I'm excited to decorate my house and show off my patriotism! To do this, I've designed American Flag and Rebel Flag stencils that fit perfectly on my bricks (195.5mm x 56.5mm). The American Flag has four stencils: red, white, blue, and stars, while the Rebel Flag has three stencils: red, white, and blue. I even added a Pirate Flag stencil with just one design - PFLAG-SKULL. Because of my 140x140mm printer build space, each large stencil is divided into two parts (L&R) that are dovetail joined together. To use them, I join the two dovetail sections, tape the stencil halves together, and then apply blue painter's tape to mask off the surrounding area I don't want to paint. Next, I paint the entire brick one color using a spray can, and then use the stencils for the other colors. After letting it dry, I carefully align the stencil and secure it in place with more tape. When painting on uneven bricks like mine, you may need to press down on the stencil in some areas to avoid overspray leakage under the edges. Bamboo skewers work great for this task, or you can use your fingers (in a latex glove) if needed. For the Pirate Flag, I paint the brick black and use the stencil to add a skull and bones design. To connect the eyes and nose of the skull, I added extra bits that may require support in some cases. In total, there are three layers for this design - maybe with support for the PFLAG-SKULL or not, and no support needed for all other stencils. If you're interested in using these stencils on your own house, be sure to check out my Brick Brick Stencils on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4023166). Keep in mind that these were designed specifically for painting uneven bricks like mine, so results may vary if you use them on a very flat surface. As I experimented with the stencils, I noticed that some underspray was unavoidable under the edges of the stencils. To account for this, I adjusted the design to allow for it. The American Flag stencil stripes are a great example - they're narrow enough to show off the unevenness of my bricks, but might look too perfect if you paint them on a very flat surface.
