FL sun QQ magnetic effector for E3D titan Aero
thingiverse
This magnetic effector mod for FLsun QQ enables mounting of E3D Titan Aero extruder, utilizing round magnets and rods with steel balls as bearings. The parts used include magnets from https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/32811516463.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27425c0fNm039B and rods from https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/32873008778.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27425c0fNm039B. The effector is designed to be printed in two parts, which are then glued together using acetone. For optimal results, printing with ABS is recommended due to its higher temperature resistance and better bonding properties with acetone compared to PLA. Alternatively, PETg can be used, but a different adhesive may be required. To attach the magnetic bearing part to standard FLsun QQ carriages, the old bearing mounts must be cut and sanded first. If this option proves too challenging, alternative printed carriages can be used instead. The magnets are spaced 45 mm apart, while FLsun QQ linear rods have a spacing of 40 mm; any carriage will suffice. To prevent the magnetic bearing from easily coming loose and potentially dropping the extruder on the build surface, pulling springs are added for tension. Locally sourced springs work best due to their affordability and commonality; metal strings with the springs should be avoided as they produce noise and vibrations visible on the print surface. Thin but durable rope is a better option. Springs should be tightened enough to prevent effector misplacement.
