As it happens, I own a 3D printer, which gave me an idea - why not try making my own replacement cap instead of paying $10 for a new one? After several attempts at getting my dimensions just right (threads can be tricky), I received valuable assistance from my dad and finally managed to create a printable replacement that cost only pennies in filament.
