Fixpencil rotary sharpener
thingiverse
This rotary sharpener is specifically designed for easy printing and will fit any desk or drawing table. I use this sharpener with my 2mm Caran d'Ache Fixpencils and my 2mm Kita-Boshi pencils, both of which are 2mm in diameter. My oldest mechanical pencils are over 30 years old and have never failed to deliver. The prolonged use of these durable mechanical pencils has a significant positive impact on the environment compared to traditional pencils. 2020-02-28 update: A file has been added to this project, specifically designed for use with the Caran d'Ache Fixpencil 3mm or the BIC Criterium 2mm. This file is available for download from Thingiverse and can be used to create a custom sharpener. To complete the assembly of this sharpener, you will need to build an abrasive ring by cutting a cone-shaped piece out of sandpaper and gluing it onto the 3D printed ring. I recommend using water-resistant glue since the sharpener is subject to regular cleaning with water. A template has been made available for download and can be printed to simplify the build process. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tHTsQXF4DZk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
