Fixed-Position Web Cam Mount

Fixed-Position Web Cam Mount

thingiverse

I had to capture some data that required my webcam to be set up in the same exact position every time, so I created this camera mount. It's built to be strong and predictable. Instead of relying solely on friction to hold it in place, it has teeth that lock together and need to be intentionally loosened with bolts to change angles. It attaches to a small corner bracket that lines up with the outer corner of my printer, ensuring that the webcam is always aligned the same way. The bolts are #10-32 x 1.25 inches long. The mount was designed for a Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000, but it could easily be adapted for other cameras. The corner piece fits a Monoprice Select Mini v2. It was created in Fusion 360.
