I headed out to create this StarTracker and discovered that the primary drive gear had an issue. The hex hole for the nut was obstructed during slicing. So, I tracked down the source .scad file and made some adjustments that mirrored what JJ had tweaked initially when customizing it from scratch. I implemented my changes through openSCAD instead of the customizer, so I also increased the facets on the gears to achieve smoother meshing and better power transmission; I intend to utilize a budget-friendly stepper motor, so I need the gears to operate as efficiently as possible.
