Fix your scissors
thingiverse
The plastic ear of a pair of scissors snapped after excessive use and washing. To protect our planet (and a few dollars) I fabricated a new part around the blade. ### Preparation To proceed, all existing plastic on the blade must be removed. A dremel equipped with the correct bit can accomplish this task. Additional precise grinding will allow temporary removal of the rivet to separate the blades (optional). You may adjust the model to fit your scissors' blade. Heat and glue can also prove useful. ### Printing Advice * Consider pausing at layer 36 for recommended resolution to securely attach the metal part of your scissors before completing the print. * Be cautious when positioning the part on the build plate to avoid potential collisions with the printer's chassis after overmolding.
