I've managed to get it working, but I'm not making any promises that it'll work for you too! It did for me, though, so fingers crossed! If you're reading this, chances are you're a bit of a tinkerer and can figure it out - just be careful, the rewind mechanism is quite powerful and can do some serious damage if it gets away from you. This fix should work on a Hoppvals blind or possibly a Trippevals, the design looks pretty similar. My blinds were bought 5 years ago, so I'm not sure if the design has changed by now. After 5 years of use, the spring-driven reel that rewinds my blind was completely worn out. I didn't want to throw it away, so I redesigned the reel and the rectangular plastic lid that keeps everything in place. The reel consists of 2 parts, joined together with instant glue. IMPORTANT: Before gluing the parts of the reel together, use a heated needle to make a small hole in the bottom part where the springs are connected. Slide the string through and tie a knot on the back to secure it properly.
