Fitting for Telescopic Rod with bolt on hook
thingiverse
This is a fitting with bolt on hook designed for those telescopic rods they sell (typically for reaching lightbulbs in your ceiling). The fitting has an internal thread that is 18.4mm OD and 16mm minimum diameter with a pitch of 4.9mm. The threads are about 3mm in width, semi circular. This info should help you determine if you have the right kind of telescopic rod to work with this fitting. The hook is mounted with two m5x20mm flat head screws that self tap into the fitting. The fitting is threaded on to the rod, and also is secured with an m5x10 socket cap screw and press on thumb drive. (see image) The hardware and 5mm plastic thumb drive are sold by mcmaster-carr and others. I used pla for both parts. For the threaded portion of the fitting, you should print with .1mm layer height for best results. The rest of the fitting and the hook can be .2mm layer height. I used 4 perimeters and 25% infill for the hook and the fitting. The idea is the fitting can accommodate other types of tools besides the hook currently available, all designed with the same two hole pattern (as the hook). So more tools to come.
