Fitbit Versa 2 Charging Stand (modified)
thingiverse
This started as a remix of the Fitbit Versa 2 Charging Stand by weasel342. I really liked the original design, but much preferred the idea of the cable routing out of the rear of the stand. Additionally, my OEM Versa 2 charge base has a dual curved bottom that wouldn't sit well on a flat surface. I therefore created a simple OpenSCAD file to mirror and subtract two cylinders (at 90°) to remove a section for the dual-curved base of my charge base. Because of the material this removed, I deepened the groove for the cable outlet. The USB cable is cable-tied in place using the two holes near the base of the stand. To resolve some problems with opening the clamp arms from the original design, I decided to redesign the top to provide more clearance and now the clamp arms can be opened fully. To get the clearance required, I removed the up-stands on the top; I recommend using double-sided tape to secure the charger base in addition to a cable tie in the slots near the base. Finish it off with some nice felt or foam feet. As I'm now content with the design, I don't plan to do any more to it. If anyone wants to tinker with it some more, I've included the Fusion 360 file as these changes would have been challenging with OpenSCAD. If you like this design, you can tip me using the link above.
