FitBit Charge 3 Dock Stand
thingiverse
I was struggling to find a dock that fit my Fitbit Charge 3 perfectly. Many docks designed for the Charge 2 seemed promising, but their charging clips were awkwardly positioned behind the front panel, obstructing the squeeze mechanism. Determined to create a custom solution, I decided to design my own dock from scratch. The process was straightforward. Simply push the USB end through the rectangular opening on top and guide the wire down through the narrow channel. Then, carefully insert the thicker part of the wire into the designated hole located behind the charging clip. The design holds together remarkably well without any additional supports, except for a tiny bit of reinforcement near the narrow throat where the USB wire passes through. A minimal amount of support is all that's required in this area. I used PrusaSlicer 2.0 to add custom supports at specific points, eliminating unnecessary material elsewhere.
